Gold just confirmed a possible bearish setup for this week after closing below its yearly open for the second straight week.
In this video, I break down the key XAUUSD levels I’m watching after last week’s FOMC move, why the 4333 yearly open matters, and where I would prefer to see gold trade before looking for fresh shorts.
I also cover silver, which is showing a similar structure after rejecting its own yearly open. The bounce so far looks corrective, not impulsive, which keeps the bearish scenario in play as long as the lower timeframe structure confirms.
Then we finish with the DXY, the US dollar index, which just posted its highest weekly close in 13 months. That matters for gold, silver, forex, and the broader market because continued dollar strength could keep pressure on metals.
As always, this is my opinion only and not financial advice.
